As these steps are completed old fleshly behaviors and emotions begin to disappear. Individuals make godly choices resulting in healthier behavior where emotions and relationships are restored and renewed.

Know God's Amazing Lovel
31 million light years away in the heavens is the Cross. Everywhere we look God is saying "I Love You."
Your view of God determines how you handle most of your life - your relationships, what you do with your time and your response in difficult situations.
Some individuals may view God as a policeman keeping the law, or a protector always present with them, perhaps a loving father, or a distant father who doesnít have time for them, or a stern, angry God because they just donít measure up.
Our relationship with our earthly father usually is similiar to how we view God and our relationship with Him. An important starting point in examining who God really is, is to look at how we view God.
God is the only source of all knowledge, understanding and wisdom. God's presence sustains the universe and He is present with us in all places and all circumstances. He is a personal Spirit and you can have a personal relationship with Him. He loves you and His love is free, unchanging and everlasting.

Be Transformed
"I've never really thought much about my thoughts.
I guess they are mostly negative - especially about myself."
Most people feel this way never knowing or understanding that their beliefs and thoughts shape their lives, determine their decisions, and the quality of their relationships.
In the book of Romans, we are admonished to put aside the lifestyle of the present age. So how are we to live? We are to keep on being transformed by the renewing of our minds.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Romans 12:2
Changing your beliefs can be one of the hardest things you will ever do. But it is also one of the most worthwhile. Remember that God does not give us things to do that we can't do. There is a difference between meditating on the Scriptures that make up you new beliefs & replacing the old beliefs with the new beliefs. A deeper level of transformation occurs when you actually replace the old beliefs with God's Word.
The end result of renewing our mind is best described in Isaiah 26:3 - perfect peace
The steadfast of mind Thou wilt keep in perfect peace, because he trusts inThee.

Discover Your New Identity

Money? Perhaps it is your busy schedule, how you look, maybe it's food, or your car & spending time taking your children from event to event, or perhaps it's your boat . . . . . What fills up your glass?
Not only can God fill your heart and life with His love, but He can transform your life into a firmly planted, stable and prosperous existence that is nurtured by the streams of His grace.
Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord and whose trust is the Lord. For he will be like a tree planted by the water, that extends its roots by a stream and will not fear when the heat comes; but its leaves will be green, and it will not be anxious in a year of drought nor cease to yield fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8
What does life look like when His living water, the Holy Spirit fills your glass?
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. "Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30
Jesus invites us to leave our burdensome ways of heavy labor - especially the religious ones and step into the yoke of training with Him. His way is a way of gentleness and lowliness. A way of soul rest. Our yoke is easy. Our burden is light. We have rest for our souls.

Live In The Power Of God
Do you feel like your life is out of control? Are you running yourself weary on the tread mill of life?
If you answered yes, like most people today, then you are running your own life trying to put one fire out in time to go on to the next one.
God does have a better way for you to live and He does have a plan for your life - no matter what has happened. The promise that God gave Jeremiah for the exiled Israelites still holds true to His people today:
For I know the plans that I have for you,declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for calamity, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
God loves you and you are not here by chance but because God the Creator of the Universe wants you to be here now.
"Just think, You are not here by chance, but by God's choosing. His hand formed you, and made you the person you are. He compares you to no one else - you are one of a kind. You lack nothing that His grace can't give you. He has allowed you to be here at this time in history to fulfill His special purpose for this generation." Roy Lessin
The greatest enemy to living in God's will for your life and living in the power of God is self or our flesh. Our flesh screams to get it's needs met for love, acceptance and fulfillment now rather that relying on God's ways and timing. Our fleshly self efforts hinder God's work and will never improve. Yielding to God is the first step in the process of discovering God's wondrous purpose for your life and living in the power of God. When we exchange our earth bound life for the life of Christ, we experience all the goodness of God.

Let Go Of Your Past
What does Forgiveness mean to you?
There are alot of views and definitions of forgiveness these days. Here are some tips on how to forgive out of some popular magazines: "remember the pain as objectively as possible, avoid dwelling on it and focus on something that gives you pleasure such as a hobby, good book or music. Empathize with the person and if that is too difficult, try replacing your anger with compassion or sympathy. Hold onto forgiveness and when you see someone who has hurt you, the pain will return. Choose not to ruminate on the emotion, and it will pass quickly."
None of these give us hope or are anywhere close to Biblical forgiveness that will bring healing. It is our sad attempt to fix ourselves. Most Christians don't forgive because of false beliefs about forgiveness. The consequences of unresolved hurt and anger can lead to critical, negative and judgmental behavior, compulsions, superficial relationships, physical, mental and emotional problems.
Staying in unforgiveness is the most destructive things you can do to yourself. God gave believers forgiveness to get bad debt off our souls. Forgiveness is a decision, a choice. Forgiveness is not a feeling. Forgiveness is for your benefit. When you forgive someone there is a releasing of a wrong that can never be collected or undone but only forgiven and rendered powerless. Through forgiveness you are released from the hurtful person and the destructive relationship with them.

Receive Rest For Your Soul
One of the greatest difficulties reported by Christians today is how to live the Christian life. Most Christians express that their lives do not appear Christ-like and they feel that they fail to measure up to God's standards.
Many Christians state that they do not experience freedom and victory in their lives. On the contrary they talk about their struggles to control sin in their lives such as lying, stealing, and difficulty in loving others including their spouses, children, and fellow church members. They confess to the same addictions to alcohol, drugs, and pornography as those outside the church.
Still others express that their service to God is overwhelming and tiring. Christians today express frustration that their lives are out of control and they are exhausted. These same Christians express they have lost the first love and joy they experienced when they accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. These believers do not feel close to God and many see God as distant and unloving.
Christians report many reasons for not attaining the Christian life including thinking that this life is only for a special few, perhaps those in the church ministry. Other reasons cited include never fully understanding the meaning of the Savior's call, thinking that such a life is not within their reach and not knowing the secret to attaining the Christian life. Some have been kept from the Christian life through their own unfaithfulness while others have not been prepared to stay in fellowship with Christ.
Come join us to examine Christ's command to abide in Him as given in the book of John, the example that Christ gave to His disciples before He left earth of how to abide in Him, the blessed results in believers lives of abiding in Christ, and the keys to abiding in Him. Abiding in Christ is the secret to living the Christian life. A life of victory and freedom over the control of sin with peace and joy even through trials and difficulties is available to all believers as a result of abiding in Christ.
