Marsha Medders

Marsha Medders is the founder and director of There Is An Answer. In this capacity she provides the day to day direction for the ministry as well as conducting conferences, teaching classes, teaching and training in the Lay Counseling Program and doing personal discipleship counseling and coaching. Marsha holds a Master's in Christian Counseling from Luther Rice Seminary, a Special Ministry License in Pastoral Care (SMLPC), and is a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor.

Marsha grew up going to Church regularly, however never felt confronted with the need to make a decision about her relationship to Christ never really understanding what the gospel was all about. At the age of 40 Marsha accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. It was four years later that Marsha felt God’s call on her life to enter the discipleship counseling ministry. Marsha left the business world to attend seminary receiving a Master’s of Art in Christian Counseling from Luther Rice Seminary in Atlanta, Ga. While attending seminary Marsha felt God gave her the vision and direction for the Ministry.

After moving from Atlanta to South Florida in 2000 with her husband, John, Marsha founded the Ministry in 2001. After receiving discipleship in Christ-as-life from the woman who led her to the Lord, Marsha considers it a blessing and a privilege to disciple others in finding God’s will for their life and experiencing the victory in Christ that God intends all believers to have.

In 2005, Marsha and her husband, John, moved to Holly Springs, North Carolina where they enjoy traveling together, hiking in the mountains, and riding their bikes. Marsha is an avid reader and may be found painting or tending her flower gardens on the weekends (when she is not hiking in the mountains).

John Medders

John serves the ministry as a volunteer Discipleship Counselor and as Director of the Lay Counseling Ministry overseeing the day-to-day supevision of the progam. He is a Board Certified Biblical Counselor.

John Medders has been blessed to know Jesus as his Savior since he was 12 years old. Over the years he has served in his local church as coach, teacher, Sunday School Class President, and deacon.

Over a 10 year period John’s self-sufficiency was stripped away, and he gladly surrendered the Lordship of his life to Jesus. Since that time he has shared the message of victory in Jesus with his fellow believers.

John works in the medical laboratory busines. He has a BS degree from the Medical College of Georgia and an MBA degree from Georgia State University.

John and his wife, Marsha, now live in Holly Springs, North Carolina after having lived in South Florida and Atlanta. John enjoys traveling and hiking in the mountains with his wife Marsha, playing tennis and golf, and is an avid reader.

Lynna Runge

Lynna Runge is part of the first group of Lay Counselors to be trained at There Is An Answer and is also part of the foundation of the organization. Lynna serves the ministry as the Director of Training and teaches the ministry’s conferences and the Lay Counseling Training Program. Lynna is a Board Certified Biblical Counselor.

Lynna and her husband Mark recently moved from Coral Springs, Florida to Atlanta. She and Mark have been married for 25 years and are the parents of 2 beautiful daughters Holly and Sara.

Lynna loves to share her experience of learning who she is In Christ and the impact that it has had on her life with friends, family, and fellow believers:

"The Lord has transformed my life through the internship here at There Is An Answer. I came to fully understand who I am In Christ – My true identity. Who He says I am and not who I thought I was. I came to understand I have a choice to function out of the victorious living that Paul teaches in the powerful gospel of Romans.

Paul had learned that his wreckage or wretched state from chapter 7 was because of sin; and he needed a savior to set him free from himself. What Paul learned and is explaining is what I too now have experienced; Christ’s finished work at the cross.

I had been living only in the redemptive work of the blood and although I had truly acknowledged my sins were forgiven years before, I continued to strive to please God; but today I have a deeper knowledge of what Paul is describing to be dead to sin (Romans 6:4-7) to reckon that it was done for me In Christ at the cross of Calvary and the bondage of sin was broken for me in the finished work of the cross.

I did not need to do anything to please Him; and in reality I could not please Him; only when I exchange my self life for Christ’s life can I experience His rest & peace that He desires every believer to receive and function out of. This is the place of the victorious living from Romans 8; that is what He did for me and it is exactly what He wants to do for you too!"

Lynna has been involved as a teacher and leader in her Church many years including her work at Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) for many years where she was a Leader and Children’s Supervisor. Over the years Lynna has coordinated Vacation Bible School, taught Sunday School Classes and Ladies Bible Studies, been a Prayer Leader, and held Bible Studies in their home. Lynna is a gifted counselor and teacher and enjoys family activities, gardening, and is an avid reader.
