When You Are Hurting

God does love you and He is with you even if it doesn’t feel like it. Your feelings give you a sense of being alive and are essential to life but may not always be aligned with the truth. The truth is God’s Word will stand forever while feelings change with our circumstances.

Healing For Your Feelings
Feelings should not be denied or repressed. They are good servants, but disastrous masters. Feelings are also one of Satan's primary instruments. Read Psalm 91 daily – as you get up in the morning and before you go to bed at night. See Scriptures
Sanctify them in the truth; Thy word is truth John 17:17
Jesus therefore was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, “If you abide in My word,
then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make
you free.” John 8:31-32
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2
The grass withers, the flower fades,
But the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:8
Prayer of Response: Lord, work through me so that I do not live in my feelings, but live in your Truth. Show me how to work through my feelings in a godly healthy fashion. Show me Your Truth and make it real in my life. Thank you for your Truth and that you are the Truth, the Way and my life. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Victory In Jesus
Although we would like our pain to go away, Jesus clearly tells us that victory does not mean a life free from pain and heartbreak. Jesus tells us that we will have difficulties in this world. The real meaning of victory is not winning or living a life free of difficult and painful situations; real victory means hope, joy and peace during our heartbreaking situations. Victory is possible because of Christ in us – the hope of glory.
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world. John 16:33
That is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations; but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:26-27
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your forbearing spirit be known to all men. The Lord is near. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4-7
Prayer of Response: Father, Your Word says that we have not because we ask not, I am asking you to fill my heart with Your hope, joy and peace. Help me to stand in Christ during this difficult time. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Seated With Christ in The Heavenliesl
The Bible tells us that there is an appointed time for everything. This means that God is in control and is sovereign, even during this difficult season of your life. God works in your life in ways that are impossible for us to fathom or understand. But at the same time know that He has your best interest at heart. He also knows how to move you through this season of your life.
So if you are going through painful circumstances it is ok to take time to work through the pain, listen to what God wants to say to you, and to experience what He wants you to learn. God also wants you to know that He will work even this situation to your good.
As hard as it is to see that this current situation could be part of God’s plan for your life, nothing comes into our lives that God has not allowed, so this means that He has allowed it for a reason. He is clear in the Bible that His purpose for us is to conform us to His image, so He will use even this situation to accomplish His purpose.
The Lord has established His throne in the heavens;
And His sovereignty rules over all. Psalm 103:19
And as for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good in order to bring about this present result, to preserve many people alive. Genesis 50:20
For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Neither are your way My ways," declares the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts. Isaiah 55:8,9
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28
Prayer of Response: Lord, Our Heavenly Father, help me see your hand in this situation and how you are going to work it for my good. Show me how to work through the pain. I thank you that you are a good God and that you will never leave or forsake me. Amen
Knowing Who You Are In Christ
God’s sovereignty is His supreme and absolute rule, control, and authority over this entire universe and every single human being. God’s sovereignty insures that He is intimately and continually involved in your individual life every single day.
He will work out every single circumstance in your life for something good, no matter what. Nothing can touch us apart from the permissive will of God. He never stops providing for us and He knows exactly what we need. Our situation may be painful and difficult, but God will use it to achieve His divine purpose. When something painful happens, God is there to comfort us and see us through.
There is an appointed time for everything.
And there is a time for every event under heaven –
A time to give birth, and a time to die.
A time to plant, and a time to uproot what is planted.
A time to kill, and a time to heal.
A time to tear down, and a time to build up.
A time to weep, and a time to laugh.
A time to mourn, and a time to dance.
A time to throw stones, and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace, and a time to shun embracing.
A time to search, and a time to give up as lost;
A time to keep, and a time to throw away.
A time to tear apart, and a time to sew together;
A time to be silent, and a time to speak.
A time to love, and a time to hate.
A time for war, and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
“My thoughts are completely different from yours,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. Isaiah 55:8-9
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them. Romans 8:28
Prayer of Response: Lord, God Almighty, Maker of Heaven and Earth, just knowing that you know about this situation gives me comfort. I don't understand it right now, but I thank You that You are sovereign and You will work even this out to my best. I pray for Your peace to surround me and guard my heart. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
Victory In Jesus - Joy In Your Heart
The joy of Christ can overcome the sorrow of the world, it can make us sing while we weep, can maintain in the heart even when cast down by disappointments or difficulties, a deep consciousness of a joy that is unspeakable and full of glory.

Great Is Thy Faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Though changest not, Thy compassions they fail not;
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
Great is Thy faithfulness
Great is Thy faithfulness
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided –
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!
Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

The unfailing love of the Lord never ends! By His mercies we have been kept from complete destruction. Great is His faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each day. I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance; therefore, I will hope in him!”
Lamentations 3:22-25 (NLT)
Now glory be to God! By His mighty power at work within us, He is able to accomplish infinitely more than we would ever dare to ask or hope. Ephesians 3:20
...for the joy of the Lord is your strength." Nehemiah 8:10
Prayer of Response: Lord, God Almighty, thank you for being my strength through this difficult time. Thank You that You give me strength when I don't have strength - You are my strength. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
